Day 9:
In the ninth day of the trip we took an $18 bus ride to Heraklion, the largest city on the island of Crete. There we had a nice baklava and then we headed over to the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology. The entrance fee was $6.5,and there is an english tour available for the same amount, but there are writings in both greek and english,so we didn't opt for the tour. The museum is small but fascinating and informative.
From there we took a walk to the nearby Old Town,to see the Agios Titos Church,Venetian Loggia and the Morosini Lions Fountain.Crete used to be part of the former Venetian Republic, hence why Heraklion is full of Venetian Architecture.
In the evening we headed over to the Rocca a Mare Fortress to get a nice view over the sea and then to a nearby tavern, where we ate the last dinner of the trip.
