Day 1:
We arrived in Cuba in the late morning with 5 girls for a weekend trip! When we arrived in Cuba we got our bags and on our way we went! Things are so cheap in Cuba and they are reallyl living in a different time but it is amazing to feel the old world feel. We took a taxi to the Condo we rented in Havana and it was about $20.00 for a 3 min ride. It was very interesting to see everything and the different culture. Our condo was ready so we checked in. We had two seperate floors and three bedrooms with a2 bed in each room. The condo did not have any air just the bedrooms had window air. Which was great for sleeping. We had a balcony that over looked the busy streets. Our host provided us with cofee and tea in the morning. We would all get up early sit on the balcony and watch the busy streets at work. It was very interesting to watch becuase people were out setting up their stands, delivering breads, getting their fruits ready to sell on the corner.
-Take a Tuk Tuk!! It is very scary but very fun!
-Go to Cafe Bohemia in the plaza Vieja for a brunch
-Go to Riomar for dinner. You will not need restervations just walk in! The food is great and so are the views. Every place you eat will bascially be in somebodys house! Do not be scared just enjoy it! Everybody is so welcoming!
-Go to Floridita for drinks! This is old school and the drinks are awesome!
Day 2:
-Take a ride in an old 1950s car. You can walk to the square and ther are a lot of them sitting there just waiting for somebody to book a ride! It is so much fun riding around Cuba in one with the top down! We paid around $20.00 for an hour ride.
-Go to Hotel Ambos Mundos and go to the top and have a drink. You can see all of Cuba
-Be sure to go to the Art district and go to the Art gallery! They have different rooms of art, with clubs, drinks, music and so much more! Get there early to get in line becuase it fills up to let people in.
-Walk the streets during the day and go shopping, have drinks, some a cigar! Everywhere you turn there is something to see or do.
-For dinner go to La Fontana! It is a little hard to find becuse it is hidden but so worth it. There are fountains inside and the food is cuban style. Everything is old school so do not go in expecting new and fancy. The charm comes from the old.
Cuba is an old world and they are sitll living in the old but that is where all of its charm comes in. People are warm and welcoming and they want you to enjoy Cuba.
