BEFORE TRIP PLANNING- For some offical work we travelled to monterrey Mexico and it was a great experience. As we fly from East coast ticket price is much higher.

Cost-Round trip airfair around 500-600$. 

Hotel advantages- We Booked the hotel earlier. FIESTA INN EXPRESS is in the heart of Monterrey. This Hotel is just 5min distance from the downtown. They have complementary Buffet breakfast.

Uber- You can use uber to go anywhere and cost is too much cheaper than USA. Add your credit/debit card to pay uber bill so that you dont need to carry pesos. 

Mobile network- If you use Tmobile in usa you are good to go and dont need any extra sim card in mexico.

Also you can buy sim in OXOX shop. you can find this shop in every corner of a road. Sim cost will be 25 pesos.

Money excange- You can exchange money from USA airport or Monterrey airport. Also there are lots of money excange office in the city. You can find one just downstair of Fiesta Inn Express hotel and they will give you a good exchange rate.

If you have Amex TRAVEL CARD then you can pay every transaction by card with lowest exchange charge. 

Food- There are thousands of big and small food stall to have their tasty food. Also if you want to have Mcdonals, Pizzahut, Dominos they are all there in the city. So we enjoyes plenty of food.

Shopping- We did a lot of shopping there. The cost is much much CHEAPER then USA. You can buy dresses, Souvenir, Jewelry, Mexican authentic dresses and lots of other stuff in a very cheap rate.
