Getting to Capri
We landed in Naples Italy and that early am we took the ferry over to Capri from Napoli. You can buy tickets in advance or buy them when you get to the ferry. The ferry is very large and they go every so often so there is always room. We bought our tickets prior because we were on a tight schedule so we knew we had to get over there. We wanted to play it safe. It takes about 45 mins and you can bring luggage if you are staying, the sell snacks on board and drinks and there is also restrooms.
What To Do In Capri
We had arranged a private boat tour with just our family of Capri. There were 6 of us and the driver. We had ahalf day tour and paid around $300.00. He met us on the pier and we had paid an extra $75.00 to have the owners mom make us a classica Italian picnic for the boat. We were able to bring our own drinks and wine. There was a little store by where we boarded so we bought stuff to bring on the boat. They had coolers so we put all of our drinks in there to keep cool. The boat was perfect there was plents of room with shad if you needed it and places to lay and sit. The driver was very nice and spole greak English.
-He took us to Caves
-We saw the arches
-He docked and let us swim and snorkel in the holes
-Went to see the heart in the stone
-Went to private coves
-Pulled off to a little beach to have lunch
-We drove all around the Island
-The day lasted about 4-5 hours depending
Where To Eat
We ate an early lunch so when we got off the boat we wanted to eat dinner. When you get off the dock right walk about a min and there is this little cafe right on the edge of the water. They have the best pasta any dish is great! We tried several and the pastries were out of this world. It is very relaxed so no need to dress up. Go to enjoy the views.
Capri is a small port and you can walk around pretty much walk anywhere. Walk the little shops there are so many cute things they are selling, stop at the bakeries and make sure to get some gelato. To get back to Naples you can take the same ferry back from the same port you docked in. The ferry is the same runs all the time, very large and you can buy tickets before or walk up and purchase them.
such a great place to enjoy the weather and relaxation, some of the best seafood
