Day 1:
We flew to Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), the fourth busiest airport in the Caribbean and the main international gateway to The Bahamas. After we reached there, we rented a car and traveled towards Junkanoo Beach, Nassau, Bahamas. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach. just right across from the hotel you will find Junkanoo Beach. The beach is near Western Esplanade Beach in the north of Nassau and is not always as busy as some other beaches within the vicinity. Wading in the turquoise waters of Bahamas Junkanoo Beach Nassau, you watch as another cruise ship arrives in your paradise. We particularly liked this beach because of its diverse activities nearby the beach. Crystal Palace Casino loaded casino complete with sportsbook, bar, tables, machines, — the whole nine yards. This is one of the hottest spots on the island and is good for a night of entertainment. For water fun activities there are kayaking places, surfing, getting tanned, food, fun and what not!! Who doesn’t love to be lost in this turquoise water paradise right off the shore of the Nassau Bahamas beaches?
For food, you can find multiple restaurants offering seafood and fresh drinks. We had our dinner at Gone Fish'n Beach Bar & Grill and the food was great!!!2nd Day:
On the second day, we went to visit paradise island. Paradise Island sits just offshore from the island of New Providence in the Bahamas. Two bridges connect to the city of Nassau, over Nassau Harbour. White-sand beaches include Cabbage Beach and Paradise Beach, both edging on the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 3:
On day 3, we went for a scenic drive from the hotel to Cable Beach, Sea Wall - West Bay Street, and Love Beach. Cable Beach is one of the most popular stretches of coast on New Providence Island, is the ideal escape from downtown Nassau, the nation’s capital. Located just minutes west of the city, the 4 miles (6 kilometers) of the coast are home to some of the island’s most luxurious resorts. A wide sandy beach & clear, turquoise waters are the highlights of this scenic locale. This beach is safe for swimming.
We had a very good time!!! I Would love to travel here again.!!
Tips:
- Try local food from trucks; inexpensive, affordable, and do not have to do reservations.
- Try to keep Bahamian dollars for local buy; If not just keep the cash! it helps
@erikaaltman! It totally depends on what fun, outdoor activities you want to try! There are expensive and inexpensive hotels too! Luxury hotels provide beachfront rooms, bars; and I totally wanted to experience that!!
