A few magical days in Sedona, AZ

Transportation

This is definitely a place where you will want a car.  The city is in a Y shape and quite spread out, plus you'll need to drive to most of the trailheads.

Activities

Hiking and chasing sunsets are the best activities here!  You can do a different hike each day.  

You've probably seen instagramers pose at #devilsbridge .  If you do this hike go very, very early, or you'll be waiting in a 30+ minute line at the top to snap your photo.

If you want something closer to town hike around #coffeepotrock. 

Hike, or if you are really adventurous, rent mountain bikes and bike around the Yavapai Vista Trail with great views of #bellrock. 

You can rent ATVs to explore off road, but if you want to learn about the area, too, then take a #pinkjeeptour.  There are many different drives (some include a stop for wine!) that take visitors off road while friendly guides will entertain you with history and legends.  

For shopping, uptown has the typical tourist stores, but #tlaquepaque has more upscale shopping.  Even if you aren't buying, a walk around here is worth it to see the beautiful colonial-style architecture.  

Visit the giant stupa at the Peace Park for some quiet contemplation.  Another peaceful location is the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an architectural marvel built into the rock.  

If you are into the supernatural, there are numerous places to get a tarot card reading or aura photos.  You can also visit the four vortexes.  At night, go on a UFO sighting tour with special night vision goggles!

Lodging

We stayed in an AirBnb, but there are a lot of great hotels with beautiful views.  If you can afford it, I would recommend staying at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa because of its beautiful location.  

Dining

Don't get caught eating at the expensive tourist traps in Uptown.  There are plenty of more affordable places with better food elsewhere. 

Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen is great for those with food allergies.   

Mariposa is a Latin-inspired restaurant with the best views in town.
