Flew into Tokyo on Singapore Airlines on points. Awesome airline to fly in business or first.

Day 1 - After settling into our room at the Andaz, we decided to go explore. We started walking towards Ginza and explored that area and around the Imperial Palace. We were getting hungry and we stumbled on a line building up at Ginza Kagari Ramen. There were about 6-7 people in line and we got in line behind them. They were supposed to open in about 15-20 minutes and by the time they opened the line was 20-30 people long. Shortly before it was time to open they came and took our order. We got in on the first seating and a couple minutes after we were seated we got some awesome ramen. After dinner we ventured back towards the hotel zigzagging our way back.

Day 2 - Woke up and walked towards the Tsukiji market and ventured around that area for a bit. Then headed over the MariCar and did a two hour tour of the city in go carts while we were dressed like mario kart characters. This was a lot of fun although I can't believe it's legal. Literally go carting on the city streets of tokyo, but it was a blast. After that we ventured to the David Bowie is HERE exhibit which was really cool. Then checked out the Archidepot museum next door that had a bunch of Architectural models. We then ventured to Afuri ramen and had the Yuzu ramen which was one of our favorites. After that we had reservations at Gen Yamamoto and we did the 6 course cocktail tasting. It was great relaxing in there and talking to him about the cocktails and they were amazing. After that we ended up in the omotesando area for a bit as we wanted to check out some of the buildings there at night, particularly the Prada store by Herzog de meuron and the Dior store by SANAA. We didn't stay in that area too long because we knew we'd be back and also had tickets for the Robot Restaurants. So we ventured to Shinjuku and wandered the area for a bit and then did the obligatory robot restaurant thing, enough has been said about it. After that headed back to the hotel to crash.

Day 3 - Woke up and had breakfast at the hotel which was really great. Took this day easy as Jet lag really started to hit us. Went towards Shibuya and wandered around that area and then headed to Omotesando and Harajuku. Got in line at Harajuku Gyoza-ro and had the best Gyoza we have ever had, definitely worth the wait, the bean sprout and meat sauce appetizer was also pretty amazing. Had reservations at Ginza UkaiTei for teppanyaki that we ended up canceling as the Jet Lag had really hit us hard. We had room service at the hotel and took it easy that evening ready to start another day.

Day 4 - We met up with a friend in Shibuya who took us around some of the backstreets around there and in the Harajuku/Omotesando area that we hadn't ventured into. Its really great to hang out with a local to show you around. We also checkout the espace gallery on the top floor of the louis vuitton store which was pretty cool. Park Hyatt helped us get a reservation at Fukamachi Tempura a michelin starred restaurant for a late lunch. It was a great experience watching masters at their craft. I have never had tempura as good as this, it was just a set menu with different veggies and seafood. There were definitely a few items I wasn't totally excited for but overall it was a great meal and experience. After that we headed back to the Andaz to check out and grabbed a Taxi to the Park Hyatt. After checking in we wander the Shinjuku area a bit we also had a lot of fun with those crazy photo booths, after that we went to check out Pizza Savoy on a recommendation by a friend. I know... why would we go get pizza in Japan, but it was honestly some of the best Pizza I have ever had. He's a master at his craft and only makes 2 types of pizza.

Day 5 - Slept in a bit and then we had an early lunch at Joel Robuchon in Ebisu. This meal was incredible and was definitely one of the favorites of our trip. It was a 3 michelin star that the Park Hyatt assisted in booking for us. After that we wandered the area and headed towards the national art center for the Kusama exhibit which was really great. It has a ton of her paintings, one of the big pumpkins, and even an infinity room. We then walked around the corner to the 21_21 Design Sight building where another interesting exhibit was. It was an interesting exhibit but we went there more to venture through the Tadao Ando designed building. For dinner we had reservations at 2 michelin star Sushi kanesaka in Ginza. Overall it was a great experience but there were definitely some items we weren't into, mostly some chew items like larger pieces of clams, but the actually nigiri fish pieces we got were amazing. We were glad we experienced it but I think we much prefer to be able to order what we want. Then we headed back to the PH and had a drink at the New York bar.. Just because. All in all we both think it would've been better to just stay at the Andaz the whole time.

Day 6 - Ventured around the Shinjuku Station area, got pastries and snacks there and then took the Train towards Hakone.
